Violence Essay

I've never really had any violence in my life. My life has been boring, nothings ever happen to me, except the time with my brother. My brother use to drink, when i was younger, & when he came home drunk he would ask me a simple question. When i answered and it wasn't the answer he wanted he would place a knife on my head and tell me to say the answer he wanted to hear. Sometimes he would hit me, never hard enough to do any damage but enough to put fear in my face.

He stopped drinking so he didn't hit me any more, and then he moved out. After my brother i never had anything bad happen to me. So, everything was going okay until i went to middle school. That's when the real violence in my life happened.

When i was in middle school, sixth grade, there was this kid in about three of my classes. He was a real jerk! that's probably cause he was in special ed. I was good friends with a few of his friends, so we would bump in to each other every now and then. He would bully me any chance he got; but, only when one of his & me friend was around, was when he wouldn't do anything to me. I got fed up with the bullying that i finally did something about it. I didn't rat him out because I'm not that type of person, I didn't use violence ether. I came up with a plan to get him caught for bullying me. I knew the dean of the school always walked around the school during lunch so i used that. I tricked him on bullying me, and he got caught.
Sense then the only violence in my life has been between me and my cousin. We always fight, but in a non-harmful way.

My Reading Autobiography

As far as I can remember, the first book that was read to me was "The Three Little Pigs." That was one of my favorite books when I was little. the second book that was read to me was had something to do with a girl and an animal. In my preschool/day cair we would have a few brakes from time to time, and one day I found my favorite book, "The Three Little Pigs". I knew it was that book from the moment I saw it. I took me about a week to read it about have way, i had trouble reading back then but i started to make progress. After one week, with the help of one teachers, I finally read the book completely.

No one read to me at home, my mom was to busy, my dad couldn't read English, and my brother just didn't want to, so I read to myself; however, my family didn't have many books. What i read where my brother's middle school math books and science, i guess that's why I'm good at math and science. I didn't understand much because I was young but i guess it stayed with me. I never really read much and when my dad left hat was the last thing i wanted to do.

In elementary the only books I really remember reading where "Jonie B. Jones." I don't remember the other books because i was always fighting with my cousin. The only real book I've read in elementary was "Harry Potter." I started the book 3 times till i finally finished the book.

So far I've been reading more than ever, but still not enough. During my teen years the most reading I've done was the 5 "Maximum Ride" books That I read during one weekend. I've read other books, but never read 5 BOOKS in one weekend! Now I've been writing a book but i don't think its going well. I already have 6 chapters. When I'm finished, or close to finish, I'll post it on the Internet. Up till now my readings been going good. I hope it stays that way in the next 10-20 years.
